Susheela Raman – Maha Ganapatham

Came across Susheela Raman few years back. Bought her first album – “Salt Rain” – which just is awesome. Since then, I have acquired her next two albums, Love Trap and Music for Crocodiles. Need less to say, I am a BIG fan.
She fuses modern rhythm and her own style to traditional south Indian classical songs. I think she has one of the best female singing voices. Plan to post lots of her songs here. As in Indian tradition, anything and everything starts with Ganeshji – so here is Susheela’s rendition of a south Indian classic.
